About My English Name

Something about my English name. I said in the first class I wanted to be called Elle in America. I did not just randomly pick out an English name out of the blue. Actually, I have been using it for five years. So feel free to call me “Elle”.

And originally, it’s because of Reese Witherspoon’s role (Elle Woods) in Legally Blonde, nothing to do with the magazine or the French! I know the reason still sounds silly!

But after five years’ experiment, it has become an indispensable part of my life!

Wait here… I’m not saying that my Chinese name has been officially phased out. It’s Yuan Wang. If you want to remember it, there’s sort of an easy way. My first name is the same English letter collection with the Chinese currency yuan although the real meaning of the Chinese characters has nothing to do with each other. As for my last name, I believe you have seen it a lot.
